The Plot Empty
PostSubject: The Plot    The Plot EmptySun Jan 10, 2016 5:14 pm

Our story takes place in what we affectionately dubbed Universe YJ0, the same universe in which the TV show Young Justice takes place in. Unfortunately, the show got the axe after season two due to their inability to sale merchandise to the older and more diverse [meaning girls liked it, go figure] audience than they intended. Rather than just adjust, they put it on ice. Our story takes the place of 'season three' and onwards, adding to the story that we were unable to have. For a more detailed overview, watch the show. It's very good.
In Young Justice, being a teenager means proving yourself over and over to peers, parents, teachers, mentors and, ultimately, to yourself. But what if you're not just a normal teenager? What if you're a teenage super hero? Are you ready to join the ranks of the great heroes and prove you're worthy of the Justice League? That's exactly what the members of Young Justice Robin, Aqualad, Kid Flash, Superboy, Miss Martian and Artemis will find out, whether they have what it takes to be a proven hero.
The series follows the lives of teenaged superhero sidekicks, who are members of a fictional superhero team simply known as The Team, and their relationships with their Justice League mentors. The story is set at a time where superpowers and superheroes are a relatively recent phenomenon.
The biggest key point that we can't overlook mentioning, just incase no one watched/watches the show is; The Light, a criminal organization like no one has ever seen has taken center stage, being comprised of villains whom are among the worst the universe has to offer. Headed by the immortal Vandal Savage, this group has thrust Earth into the comic spotlight to which the ramifications may be even more potent and far reaching than they might've intended.
It is true, we take place in the Young Justice universe, but we are also independent and can formulate how things go from here. Such as the beginnings of our plot.
Our story begins when a alien space ship crash lands in just outside of Central City, this ship was followed by several individuals clad in red. This event causes such a scene that even people who were previously unaffiliated to have to step forward as potential heroes or villains. The Team is introduced to some of these people along the way. Amidst fighting off these red clad juggernauts and saving the would-be victim, our heroes quickly find out that not all is as it appears. Those who they counted a dear and valued ally may in fact not be, those who they cast the villain may in fact soon be their greatest and closest ally. Not all is as it appears. And while it seems by the end of "season 2" they have crippled The Light it would seem that even victories come at a cost.
